Brex products and platform reference

The product surface splits into two halves: the cards that move money out of the business, and the platform that decides, records and reconciles that movement. This hub maps both and links to a dedicated reference page for each.

Model

The three-layer model we use throughout the site

Instrument, control, record. Keeping them separate makes it far easier to work out whether a problem is a product gap or a process gap.

  • Instrument — physical cards, virtual cards, employee cards, transfers and vendor payments.
  • Control — policy, per-card limits, merchant category rules, approval chains and budgets.
  • Record — receipts, memos, coding, cost centres, reconciliation and ledger export.
